From what I understand, a new TTL compatible flash mount will probably cost around £50. But if I'm correct, then the benefits of such a flash would be that you'd only need one flash unit, and that the flash would automatically fire off when you hit the shutter. As such, my question is; is this actually possible? I realise that there will be some sort of effect when you bump up the power, but will it be enough to make a real difference for a fairly low light situation? I'm also aware that there's already a dp-av mode in the camera which would presumably do this anyway, but I'm after something more'manual', for example, changing the light on the model.
